The T9.9 is the high-thrust version of this new Yamaha 9.9 hp model.
It uses a higher gear ratio and Yamaha's optional Dual Thrust¬� prop to deliver outstanding thrust needed to help control heavier boats. Features like Yamaha's enhanced UCp-II� Ultimate Corrosion Protection System, featuring proprietary YDC-30 aluminum alloy, ACP-221 paint process, sacrificial anodes and freshwater flush offer the best durability.
Warning and protection systems including over-rev limiter, low oil pressure warning, starting gear protection and shift-in-gear protection at advanced throttle settings helps make the T9.9 more reliable and user friendly.
Yamaha's Dual Thrustâ?¢ propeller measures 14" in diameter and 11' in pitch for the T60 and T50 models. The large diameter, low pitch design provides up to 70% more thrust in reverse and 60% more thrust in forward than a standard two stoke, making it ideal for pontoon boats and other applications where maneuverability and thrust is important. There's even Dual Thrust propellers for the T9.9 and T8, which are standard on these models.
The Optional Multi-Function Tiller Handle on T60 and T50 models gives you easy fingertip control. Improved lever ergonomics give you more positive shifting. The new rubber throttle handle provides a better grip, and requires less rotation to go from idle to wide-open throttle (90°) for less fatigue. The Power Trim & Tilt switch is now just forward of the grip. The T9.9 and T8 also have tiller handle models available.
